Carol (Gallo) Sheehan (age 81) passed into eternal happiness on 11/26/2024 at the Vitas hospice center at St. Mary's Hospital Waterbury.  She was the wife for 53 years of Gregory F. Sheehan. She was born in Danbury Ct. in 1943, the daughter of Michael A. Gallo and Marie (Impellitteri) Gallo.  She graduated from Danbury High School in 1960. Her working career included Danbury Savings Bank in the mortgage department and later as a bookkeeper for the M.A. Gallo Distributing company in Danbury. Carol was a long time resident of Oxford and a faithful communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Oxford.  She was an excellent Italian cook and hosted many holidays for the family. She enjoyed sending birthday and holiday cards to her nieces and nephews in their childhoods. She especially enjoyed numerous September vacations in Cape Cod with her husband Greg. She will be remembered as a kind and gentle person whose smile was contagious. Leaving behind a legacy of love and inspiration

Besides her husband she is survived by a sister Janet Butera and husband Louis of Danbury, Michael Gallo and wife Karen of Dania Beach Fl, and Anthony Gallo and wife Betty of Orange.   She is also survived by many nieces and nephews: Thomas Butera of Danbury Ct, Sandra Gervasio of Danbury Ct, Steven Gallo of Milan Mi, Jennifer Gallo of Woodbury Ct, Peter Gallo of Orange Ct, Rocky Gallo of Litchfield Ct, David Bourgeois of Bridgeport Ct and Kimberly Ferreira of Monroe Ct.  Also cherished by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews

Calling hours for Carol will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Road from 10:00 to 11:00 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11: 00. Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave. Ext. Danbury.
