Obituary
Carol Hamel, 82 passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025 with family by her side.
Carol was born on November 2, 1942 in Waterbury, Conn., to Lionel and Pauline (Bessette) Hamel. She grew up in Waterbury, Conn. and retired from Airpax Corp./Philips Technology after working in payroll for over 40 years and then worked part-time for AMC movie theatre.
She loved spending special occasions and holidays with family, enjoyed gardening, and adored cats, especially her fur baby "Mittens". Her strong spirit, bright smile and love of family will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Carol is survived by her sister Denise Bissonnette of Opelika, AL, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that loved her dearly.
Carol was predeceased by her two brothers Lucien Hamel, Robert R. Hamel, and her sister Judith A. Famiglietti.
Funeral mass will be held on March 15, 2025 at 10:00AM at St. Anthony's Church, 4 Union City Rd, Prospect.
Burial will be immediately following mass at Prospect Cemetary.
Donations in honor of Carol can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (Stjude.org/donate).
