Bonita (Bonnie) Mae Schulze, of Bethlehem, CT., passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015. Born on March 20, 1943 in NYC, she grew up in Inwood, New York City and moved to Riverdale, NY and later became a resident of Bethlehem, Connecticut and Ocala, Florida. Bonnie was an active member of the First Church of Bethlehem and the Fort King Presbyterian Church in Ocala. A graduate of Cornell Nursing School, Bonnie retired as Director of Allied Health and Continuing Education at Naugatuck Valley Community College and she previously taught pediatric nursing at Waterbury Hospital. She was a life member of the Bethlehem Fair Society, served on the Bethlehem Democratic Town Committee and was a former Board Member of the Bethlehem Library Association. Bonnie was involved with parish nursing at Fort King Presbyterian Church in Ocala and she also completed a Cursillo spiritual training retreat for spiritual growth. She loved to participate in the blessing of the hands of the nurses each year at the local hospital and participated weekly in a neighborhood prayer and bible study group. Bonnie generously supported the Chime In! Music with a Mission, Inc., bell choir in Litchfield, Connecticut. She was a proud member of the 'Bethlehem Breakfast Club.'
She is predeceased by her husband Walter John Schulze, parents George A. and Helen (Sanderson) Penso, and her brother George (Tony) Penso. She is survived by her half-brother Timothy Penso, niece and nephew Alyssa and Jon Penso, great niece Grace Campbell. She is also survived by her late husband's family, the Schulzes, her friend Richard Harple and many dear friends.

Services: Memorial services to be held on May 30, at 11: 00 am at the First Church of Bethlehem. Burial is at 10 am at Bethlehem Cemetery.
