Obituary

Mr. Bobby L. Evans, 70, of Southbury died Wednesday February 18th at Mid State Medical Center in Meriden. He was the husband of Joanne (Messina) Evans. Mr. Evans was born July 2, 1938 in Maquoketa, Iowa a son of the late Cecil W. and Inez D. (Bowman) Evans.
Bobby was a United States veteran having served as Staff Sergeant in the Army Intelligence. He worked for the Defense Industry at Lockheed and Northrop - Gruman. Some of the special projects he was involved with included the Hubbel Telescope, Mars Viking Lander and the Malstar Tower Projects implementing air traffic control systems. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Southbury and a supporter of the Animal Rescue Foundation.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son William Evans, a daughter Jacqueline Arroyo, a granddaughter Olivia, three sisters, Lois, Sandy and Carol and a brother Ron Evans.

Cemetery: Mt. Olivet Cemetery

Location: Munson-Lovetere Southbury

Funeral: Sacred Heart Church

Services: A funeral mass will be held on Monday February 23rd at 10am at Sacred Heart Church in Southbury. Burial with full military honors will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.

Visitation: Calling hours will be held on Sunday February 22nd from 2 - 5pm at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.
