Willis (Bill) R. Platt 92, passed away Friday, June 3, 2011 at New Milford Hospital. He was the husband of Lillian R. Platt for over 70 years. Born in Southbury, April 16, 1919, he was the son of the late Edward and Margaret Platt. He was a dairy farmer for most of his life.
In addition to his wife, Lillian, Bill is survived by his son William Platt of Woodbury, daughters
Marjorie Whitehead of Washington Depot and Linda Kennedy of Warren; his grandchildren William Kennedy and James Kennedy both of West Cornwall, David Kennedy of Warren, Andrew Platt of Sutton, Massachusetts and Julie Detlaff of Melrose, Montana; his brother Joseph Platt of Southbury
and his sister Lois Hodges of Roxbury. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren. He was
predeceased by his brothers Edward, Leroy, Richard and John and his sister Betty Ognan.

Services: A funeral will be held on Monday, June 6 at the South Britain Congregational Church in South Britain at 11: 00 A.M. Burial is private.
Visitation: Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 5 from 5-8 P.M. at the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main St. North, Southbury.
