BEVERLEY JOYCE BRUNEAU, wife of John (Jack) Dwyer, succumbed to illness at Danbury Hospital on Sunday the 16th at 82.

Beverley was born to Roland S. and Amy Geneva (Annis) Bruneau on Dec. 3, 1928 at Medford, MA. She graduated from Branford (Conn.) High School and received an Associate's degree from Northwest CT Community College. Bev was a longtime resident of New Preston CT before retiring to Florida, and recently returned to Connecticut to be close to her family.

Bev provided assistance to the elderly as a benefits specialist, including 10 years employed at the Sharon Hospital, and served as a Girl Scout Troup Leader for over15 years.

Possessing a longtime passion for genealogy she was admitted to the Daughters of the American Revolution through both maternal and paternal lineages. She held a Lifetime Membership in the New England Historic Genealogical Society.

Beverly was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Nelson. In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is survived by her children: Jean Chapin of New Preston, John Dwyer of Southbury and his wife Lynn, William Dwyer of Sheffield MA, and Robert Dwyer of Waterbury and his wife Chun; grandchildren: Leah Sivick and her husband Michael, Lauren Vicente, Ryan Dwyer, Brett Chapin and his wife Grace Marie, and Robert Dwyer, Christopher Dwyer, Elizabeth Dwyer, as well as 6 great-grandchildren. She will be laid to rest in Laconia NH with her parents.

Services: A memorial gathering will be held at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School Street on Monday Oct.24 from 4 to 7pm.
