MACDOEL, CALIFORNIA, FORMERLY OF STUART, FL

Betty E. Davis, 84, of Macdoel, CA, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edgar Davis of Macdoel, CA. Betty was born January 29, 1929 in Middletown, CT, daughter of the late Carl and Edith Hoffman. She was a former resident of Morris for over 30 years. She also lived in Stuart, FL for fifteen years and had recently moved to Macdoel. She was an active member in the American Legion as well as an active member of St. Michael's Church in Litchfield, CT and the churches Altar Guild. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Holly Hughes of Macdoel, CA and Wendy Merli of Harwinton, CT; two sons, Stephen Davis of Marseilles, IL and Alan Davis of Torrington, CT; her brother, Walter Hoffman of Merrit Island, FL; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Cemetery: South Cemetery

Location: Munson-Lovetere Woodbury

Services: A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 11 at 11: 00 a.m. at St. Michaels Church, 25 South St., Litchfield. Burial will follow in the South Cemetery, Woodbury, CT.
