BELLA UDANE

SOUTHBURY- Bella (Cohan) Udane, 102, of Southbury, died Wednesday April 24, 2013 at Pomperaug Woods Health Center. She is survived by her husband Bernard Udane.

Mrs. Udane was born on May 6, 1910 in Manhattan, NY, daughter of the late Benjamin and Fannie (Lerman) Udane. She was a retired high school teacher and guidance counselor for many years and has resided in Southbury since 1972. She was a member of the United Federation of Teachers and a volunteer at the Southbury Public Library. She loved to travel, enjoyed movies, theater, music and the arts and also politics and the environment.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Daniel and Murray Cohan and two sisters, Mae Alpert and Miriam Neiman.
