Beatrice Serdjenian, age 90, died peacefully Saturday night at her daughters home in Connecticut where she currently lived with her husband of 67 years, Richard Serdjenian. On the day of her passing she was surrounded by her loving and adoring family.
Born on February 7, 1926 in Everett, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Levon and Lillian Maltabegian and had one sister, Harriet Butterfield. She attended high school in Everett until she was hired at the law firm of Parker, Coulter, Daly her senior year. In 1949 she married Richard Serdjenian at St.Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church in Providence, RI. She was a Campfire Girl, and as an adult, active in the Congregational Church and in her childrens PTA, a den mother for the Cub Scouts, and a member of the Jaycettes.
Bea and Dick had a beautiful and admirable love for one another. They remained hand in hand until her final breath. They enjoyed every moment of their life together, residing in Wickford, RI and Venice, FL. Beatrice was genuine, kind and loyal, making lifelong friends wherever she went. She took immense pride in all of her relationships and was loved by everyone around her.
Beatrice was an avid bowler and golfer, but above all else she enjoyed being a mother, wife, grandmother and homemaker. She is survived by two of her three beautiful children; Mark Serdjenian (wife Tina Serdjenian) and Janet Childs (husband Christopher Childs). Her loving son, Kenneth, predeceased her in 1978. She always made it known that she had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kerry Serdjenian (daughter Danica), Christine Serdjenian (husband Jose & daughter Ani), Tracy Serdjenian, Leigh Childs and Shawn Childs. She will be greatly missed and eternally treasured.

Services: A memorial gathering for Beatrice will be held on Wednesday, December 21st at the Roxbury Congregational Church, Roxbury, CT at 10: 30 AM. The burial will be a private ceremony held at 3: 00 in Swan Point Cemetery in Providence, RI.
