Beatrice Sperber Leis, of Southbury, CT, beloved wife of the late Morris Leis, devoted mother of Michael Leis and his wife Roberta; Dr. Jonathan Leis and his wife Susan,, loving grandmother of Peter Leis and his wife Jennifer Storo, Rabbi Shoshana Leis and her husband Rabbi Ben Newman, Benjamin Leis and his wife Jennifer, Betsy Leis and Jennifer Leis; blessed great grandmother of Garson, Asher, and Sophia; sister of the late Bertha (Max Stein) and Irving (Elaine) Sperber, passed away on November 19th. Daughter of the late Max and Rebecca Sperber, Beatrice was born in Brooklyn NY in 1916. She attended Brooklyn College and worked as school secretary at PS 232 in Brooklyn NY until she retired. She was a member of Hadassah, loved gardening, read avidly, and was a skilled quilt maker. Private funeral will be performed at graveside.
