BETHLEHEM- Baudilia (Delia) Plaza, 72, went on to be with the Lord Thursday, November 20, 2008, surrounded by her family at St. Mary's Hospital.

Ms. Plaza was born April 26, 1936 in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, daughter of the lat e Juan and Aurelia (Rosado) Plaza. Ms. Plaza retired from Whyco Technologies after 39 years as a Quality Control Inspector.

She resided in Waterbury since 1953, living in Bethlehem for the past three years with her family. She fell in love with the scenery, wildlife and people. She lived everyday of her life for her family, "Nalah", "Bun-Bun" and "Cooters". The aroma of her gourmet cooking filled the entire house, morning and evening. The JOY, LOVE and BLESSINGS she brought to our lives will be her lasting legacy.

She was a member of Calvary Life Family Worship Center, Cheshire, where the Word gave her faith and salvation. Having survived three bouts of cancer, she was a very strong and inspirational woman of God who brought joy to all she touched. She was truly a very special person and will be greatly missed by so many.

She is survived by her daughter, Iris Gonzalez-Perry and her husband David, grandchildren, Alyssa Q. Devlin and her husband Chris, Adriana Quinones and Eric Quinones, her former husband, Luis Gonzalez and her former son in-law, Anibal Quinones, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Ms. Plaza was predeceased by a brother, Israel Plaza and a sister, Francisca Plaza.

Services: A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School St. Burial will be in Carmel Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem, CT.

Visitation: Friends may call the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.
