New Milford- Asvero "Huzzy" M. Rosato, 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 9th, at his home in New Milford, CT.

Mr. Rosato was born in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Marco and Immaculata Rosato. From a very early age, he lived in New Milford, where he resided right up until his death.

Over the course of his long life, he was employed as a car salesman, pizza maker, and carpenter followed by 25 years as an athletic trainer at Kent Boy's School in Kent, CT. He loved this job more than any other because of his personal interaction with the students. They looked up to him and respected him for the positive impact he had on their lives. Recently, he was indoctrinated into the Athletic Hall of Fame at Kent School.

Mr. Rosato enjoyed many hobbies including squash, baseball, fishing, and horseshoes. He also loved to go dancing with his beloved wife, Dorothy.

Mr. Rosato is survived by two daughters, Karla Anderson and Karen Paige of New Milford and four grandchildren including April Anderson of Woodbury, Jeremy Anderson of Bristol, Heather Paige of Mexico, and Seth Paige of Waterbury. He also has two great-grandchildren, Devin and River.

He is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy, his son Michael, as well as four brothers, Angelo, Louis, Dante, and Dewey Rosato. His surviving sister, Nancy, lives in Berlin, CT.

A mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Church, 26 Chestnut Land Rd, New Milford, on Friday, November 18th at 11:00 followed by a burial at St. Francis Cemetery in New Milford.
