Mr. Arthur Soss, 76, of Heritage Village died Wednesday, June 25, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was the devoted husband of Ethel (Altes) Soss. Mr. Soss was born June 19, 1932 in New York City the son of William and Edna (Marmor) Soss. Arthur came to Connecticut with the Nike Missile Program working as a Radar Technician. He lived in Shelton before moving to Heritage Village in Southbury. He was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport and worked as an Electrical Engineer and worked for Perkin Elmer for over 25 years. He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and loved spending time out on the water. He was a gentleman farmer and enjoyed creating stained glass art work. He mostly loved spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his loving wife of 56 years, he is survived by his two sons Mitchell Soss of Thomaston and Jeffrey Soss and his wife Marni of Oxford, two brothers Cliff Soss of Yonkers, NY and Mark Soss of Terrytown, NY, five grandchildren, Rachael, Danielle, William, Sarah, and Emily, a niece and several nephews.

Cemetery: Sharon Gardens Cemetery
Location: Munson-Lovetere Southbury
Services: Funeral service will follow calling hours at 8pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Sharon Gardens Cemetery in Valhalla, NY on Friday at 11am.
Visitation: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 26 from 5 - 8pm at The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North
