Obituary

Mr. Anthony J. Trapani, 87, of The Village at Oxford Green died Thursday November 19, 2009 at Griffin Hospital in Derby.
Anthony was born January 16, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York a son of the late Pietro and Paolina (D'Arpa) Trapani. He was a WWII veteran having served as a Corporal in the Army Counter Intelligence Corp. Formerly of Union, New Jersey, he was a member of their VFW Post 2433, American Legion Post 35 and Knights of Columbus Council 4504.
In addition to his loving companion Veronica DiPaolo, he is survived by his son Michael Trapani of Tucson, AZ, four grandchildren, two brothers, Leo Trapani and Albert Trapani both of North Carolina and a sister Frances Crisafulli of Piscataway, NJ. He was predeceased by two sons, Anthony and Luke Trapani, a daughter Teresa Trapani, four brothers, John, Michael, Sebastian and Joseph Trapani and two sisters, Rose Recupero and Josephine Trapani.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tony's memory to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Cemetery: Cemetery Not Applicable

Location: Munson-Lovetere Southbury

Funeral: St. Thomas the Apostle

Services: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday November 23rd at 11: 00am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Rd., Oxford. Burial is at the convenience of the family.

Visitation: Friends may call on Sunday November 22nd from 3: 00 - 5: 00pm at The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.
