Anthony V. Sforza, 70, of Heritage Village, Southbury, CT, died Saturday October 27 of complications at Danbury Hospital, Danbury, CT. Mr. Sforza was born in Manhattan in 1937, son of the late Stefano and Teresa Sforza of Coram, NY. Mr. Sforza graduated with honors from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., was a member of the Literary Society and treasurer of the New York Met Club. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces and was copy chief for the JC Penny Company until his retirement.
He is survived by Thomas N. Julian, his partner of over 50 years, as well as several cousins.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday November 3, at 11 am at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. South, Southbury, CT. Friends may call at the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main Street North, Southbury, CT on Friday November 2, from 6 to 8 pm. Burial will be held Friday, November 9 in Calvary Cemetery, Queens, NY.
