Mr. Anthony J. Seraffino, Sr., 80, of Woodbury died Wednesday August 18, 2010 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Sylvia L. (Sidella) Seraffino.
Mr. Seraffino was born November 28, 1929 in Waterbury a son of the late John Pluchino and Anna Diliberto. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served proudly during the Korean War conflict. Mr. Seraffino married the love of his life, Sylvia, in 1953. He moved his family from Waterbury to Woodbury in 1964. In 1969 he became the first owner and operator of the Heritage Village Texaco Service Station in Southbury. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed marksmanship.
In addition to his loving wife of 57 years, he is survived by his daughter, Sister Jo-Ann Seraffino, Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist, a son, Anthony J. Seraffino, Jr. of Woodbury, two brothers, Joseph Seraffino and his wife AnnMarie of Watertown and John Pluchino and his wife Dorita of Fort Mill, SC and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral: St. Teresa's Church
Services: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday August 23rd at 11: 00am at St. Teresa's Church in Woodbury. Burial will follow in New North Cemetery, Woodbury with full military honors.
Visitation: Calling hours will be held on Monday at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 2 School St., from 9: 00am until the time of service.
