Anthony Gaetano Ferreri's earthly journey ended much too early on Wednesday, May 17, at the age of 27, leaving behind many questions as well as countless comforting memories of a fun-loving, risk-taking, sensitive soul who embraced all with loving open arms.  He was born December 20, 1989 in Derby, CT, the son of Pino and Paula (Nelson) Ferreri.  He attended Southbury schools and graduated from Pomperaug High School in 2008.  Anthony was currently living in Jersey City, NJ working as a chef at Porta.

Anthony touched the lives of many people with his larger than life personality, infectous smile and infinite amount of energy.  He loved being with his family.  He loved soccer, skateboarding, and most of all snowboarding with his friends.

Anthony will forever be remembered by his parents, Pino and Paula of Southbury, and his devoted loving sisters, Alyssa and Ashley.  He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Dorie Underkofler, of Madison, WI.  Anthony also leaves behind many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and countless friends.

Anthony will join all of those who went before him, including his paternal grandparents, Gaetano and Rose Ferreri, his maternal grandfathers, Paul T. Nelson and James R. Underkofler.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Munson-Lovetere Funeral Homes, 235 Main St. North, Southbury.  Visitation hours will be Friday, May 26 from 5-8 pm.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 27 at 11:00 am at St. James Lutheran Church, 111 Peter Rd, Southbury.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to A Change for Nick LLC at achangefornick.org, or the Jelleff Boys and Girls Club, 3265 S Street NW, Washington DC 20007.

Anthony was loved by all who knew him and will be forever missed.  Anthony's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
