Anne C. Tausek of Newtown, passed peacefully in her sleep the morning of November 15.

Born in New Rochelle, NY, Anne was the daughter of John McCormick and Margaret McGill, who emigrated from County Antrim, Ireland , in the early 1900s.

A lifelong gardener, Anne was legendary for her green thumb and ability to create beautiful landscapes wherever she went. Many of her plantings still thrive today in the gardens of family members.

Anne was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Tausek, and son, Brian Tausek.

She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and aunt, and is survived by her loving family Arthur and Jennifer Tausek of North Kingstown, RI; Nicholas Tausek of Bowling Green, KY; Peter Tausek of Medford, MA; Margaret and Joseph Italiano of Danbury, CT; John, Catherine, Megan and Brendan McCormick of Rosendale, NY; Susan Italiano of Orange County, CA; Lisa, Bruce, Zachary and Emily Taylor of New Fairfield, CT; and Kathryn Italiano of Port Ste. Lucie, FL.

Services: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday November 18th at 10: 00am at Sacred Heart Church, Southbury. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle, NY.

Visitation: Friends may call at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North, Wednesday morning from 8: 30 - 9: 30am.
