Anna M. Lemmer died Thursday March 22nd at Danbury Hospital after a long illness.  Anna was born in Hamburg Germany on Dec. 17, 1930. She moved to the U.S. with her beloved husband Werner A. Lemmer (deceased) in 1964 and eventually settled in Redding, CT. Anna and Werner were active in the Fairfield County community and had many friends and neighbors. Anna also had a successful career in Human Resources at Norwalk Savings Society. When Anna retired, she moved to Heritage Village, Southbury where she remained active and made many new friends. She will be remembered by family and friends for her generosity, sense of adventure, resilience, green thumb, love of travel, and her 'unique' sense of humor that included a healthy dose of sarcasm. She is survived by her son Volker Lemmer of New York, NY.

A celebration of Anna Lemmer's life will be held at the Heritage Hotel, Southbury on June 9 from 12-4 pm. Family and friends are invited to join us in remembering Anna.
