Mrs. Ann (Guerrera) Grudzien, age 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13,
2015, at the Lutheran Home of Southbury. She was the widow of Steven J. Grudzien. Mrs. Grudzien was born on July 20, 1927, in Waterbury to the late Michael and Antonetta (Bisconti) Guerrera. She and her husband
built a home in Woodbury in 1959. After her husband tragically passed seven years later, she continued to raise her four children and worked at Woodbury Drug for over 40 years. Ann loved to bake Italian cookies and homemade pasta, walks down Woodbury's sidewalks, and spending time with her family and friends, especially the babies. She enjoyed many vacations with her family traveling to Cape Cod, Rhode Island, Boston and Atlanta. She leaves behind her four children: Edward Grudzien and wife Susan, Laurie Paparazzo and husband Glenn, and Steven Grudzien all of Woodbury, and John Grudzien of Wilmington, NC. , nine grandchildren: Gina Grudzien, Lisa (Ryan) Dayton, Erik Grudzien, Nicholas Paparazzo, Alexander Paparazzo, Steven Grudzien, Jr., Krista (Robert) Bargholz, Gregory (Jessica) Grudzien, and Brian (Elizabeth) Grudzien, and ten great-grandchildren. Ann was predeceased by her sisters, Katherine Mucci, Rose Zinolli, and Mildred Lombardo, and brothers, John Guerrera and Anthony Guerrera. She is survived by her brother, Daniel Guerrera of Wilton Manors, FL, several cousins, nieces and nephews and her dear friends, Lorraine Levesque and Roberta Zulpa and family. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at The Lutheran Home of Southbury for their loving care of Ann as she battled Alzheimer's with grace over the past three years.

Funeral: St. Teresa's Church
Services: A Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, February 21st at 9: 30am at St. Teresa of Avila Church, Woodbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
