Alice Louise Vitti, 79, a long-time resident of Woodbury, died peacefully surrounded in love by her children and grandchildren on October 12, after a long illness. Alice was born on October 8, 1936 in Stamford, daughter of the late Peter and Livia (Gentile) Vitti; she graduated from Stamford High School in 1954. Before her retirement, she worked as a bookkeeper for Lusk Corporation in Vista, N.Y. An accomplished artist, she was happiest when she was painting, quilting and knitting. Artwork was her passion, and she took great joy in completing keepsake quilts for her children and grandchildren. Alice was always creating something beautiful. Above all, she loved her family and cherished their time together vacationing on Cape Cod, playing games, doing puzzles and preparing holiday meals. Her family will dearly miss her kind and compassionate heart. Alice has long supported The Friends of Children charity and was an active member of the South Britain Congregational Church, where she leaves many friends. She leaves behind her children, daughter, Livia Fiordelisi, son, Robert Fiordelisi, and daughter and son-in-law, Annie and Kevin Yates; her grandchildren, Amy Fiordelisi, Katherine Laskey, EthanYates and Julia Yates, and many loving nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brothers Peter Vitti and Mario Vitti. She is predeceased by her sisters, Francis Daddona, Mary Lopiano, Fanny Lopiano, Antoinette Gulla and Lillian Telesco.
