Alice L. Snyder, 92, of Southbury, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, died Friday, March 15, 2013 at the River Glen Health Care Center. She was the widow of Joseph T. Snyder. Alice was born October 17, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Samuel and Selma (Lundstrom) Swenson. She worked for First National City Bank for many years retiring in 1976. She moved to Heritage Village in 1987 where she was an active member of the Southbury Senior Center. She was a very jolly person, enjoyed being with people, having a good time and loved to laugh. Friends and family were very important to her. She is survived by her son, Robert K. Snyder and his wife Eileen of Clairmont, FL; her daughter, Patricia A. Sampson and her husband David of Southbury; her grandchildren, Laura Waas and her husband Pete, Christine Machado and her husband Dennis, Kelly Vieira, Robert Snyder, Ryan Snyder and his wife Meghan, Alicyn Hodges and her husband Stuart, Megan Olson and her husband Jeff and David Sampson; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Walter, Herbert and Edward Swenson and her sisters, Ethel Cucci, Rita Kealey and Bertha Martinsen.

Services: Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 26 at 10: 00 a.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North, with the Pastor Linda Williams officiating. Burial will be in New North Cemetery in Woodbury in the spring.

Visitation: Calling hours will be held Monday, March 25 at the funeral home from 2: 00 to 5: 00 p.m.
