Mrs. Alice Bentley Robinson, 101, died Thursday February 8, 2007 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury. She was the widow of Clarence Francis Robinson.
Mrs. Robinson was born October 17, 1905 in New York City, NY daughter of the late Thomas and Adelgunda (Berg) Bentley. She was a member of the Roxbury Congregational Church, Roxbury Senior Center and AARP. She worked as a Bookkeeper for Food Enterprises in Rye, NY. Her hobbies included cooking, reading and crafts.
She is survived by a son George F. and his wife Nancy of Seneca, SC, a daughter Adele Robinson of Roxbury, a brother Fred Bentley of Whispering Pines, NC and a granddaughter Robyn Anne Strickland and her husband David of Greenville, SC., and 2 nieces and 2 nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother Thomas.
A memorial service will be held Monday March 26 at 2pm at the Roxbury Congregational Church. A private burial was held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in New York. The Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 2 School St., is in charge of arrangements.
