Alice Rose Cole joined the love of her life on November 1, 2016. Alice was born in Woodbury, Connecticut on September 30, 1939, and still resided in the very home she and Walter built together. After raising her family, Alice worked in the Woodbury school system retiring in 2014. She loved to be around the children and always had a soft spot for any that needed extra care. Her love of birds and animals was known by everyone that knew her. Wildlife seemed to know where to gather and gave her endless hours of joy and amusement. Above all, she was most proud of her children, whom she always supported while giving them the space to find their own way through life. She dearly loved her grandchildren and was always so happy to see them and very eager to hear what each one was doing. She attended every sporting event that her children and grandchildren played and was the proudest mom/grandma in the stands. We all know how fortunate we were to have such a wonderful mom, grandma and nana in our lives. She will be so dearly missed by all of us, Alice is survived by her children, Walter and his wife Rita, Donna and her husband Lee, David and his wife Gayle along with grandchildren, Daniel Jeni, Kelly, Kevin, Kristin, Nathan, and Matthew. She is also survived by her brother Robert and his wife Wendy. A graveside service will be held November 7, 2016 at 11am at the New North Cemetery, Woodbury.
