Alice (Tirella) Anania age 87 died March 3rd, 2015. She was the widow of Anthony Anania. Alice was born on November 16, 1927 in Danbury, CT the daughter of the late Lawrence and Henrietta Tirella. She was a life-long resident of Bethel before moving to Heritage Village in Southbury. She attended Bethel schools and graduated from Bethel High School class of 1945. She attended Danbury Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1948. After working at Danbury Hospital, she worked as an industrial nurse, first for the Benrus Watch Company in Ridgefield and then for Burndy Corporation in Bethel. The last 10 years, she worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Health as a R.N. Case Manager. Alice retired in 1992.
She leaves two daughters, Theresa Ingram of Thomaston, CT and Patricia Palmer of Washington Depot, CT. She was predeceased by a son Robert Burns of Tyler, Texas. She also leaves her best friend Manuel Gesh.
Alice loved life, loved her poker and card playing friends. She will be greatly missed.

Services: Funeral services will be held at at 2: 00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main Street North Southbury, CT.
Visitation: Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 7th 2015 from 6: 00 p.m. to 8: 00 pm and also on Sunday, March 8th from 12: 00 p.m to 2: 00 pm. at the Funeral Home.
