Obituary

ALFRED L. HENCHCLIFFE

SOUTHBURY- Mr. Alfred Leslie Henchcliffe, 90, of Southbury
died Wednesday March 14, 2007 at Danbury Hospital. He was the husband of
the late Janet E. (Ponty) Henchcliffe.

Mr. Henchcliffe was born January 5, 1917 in Greenwich, Ct, son of the
late Alfred Herbert and Martha Jane (Knowles) Henchcliffe. He resided
in Trumbull for 35 years and had attended Bridgeport Engineering Institute. Mr. Henchcliffe
was a memorial designer in his youth working for his father. He later was an electronics test engineer.

Mr. Henchcliffe was a mason having membership at Masonic Lodge #19 in
Monroe, CT, He was member of the First Congregational Church of Woodbury where he
served as deacon, member of its choir and was chairman of the organ committee.
Mr. Henchcliffe was a US Navy Veteran of WW II and was a radio control man.

He leaves two sons Warren Henchcliffe of Southbury and Ron Henchcliffe
of Madison and a daughter Beth Korik of Ansonia, a sister Gladys Peterson of NY and
12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Mr. Henchcliffe was predeceased by a brother George Ted Henchcliffe.

Funeral services will be held on Monday March 19th at 11:00am at First Congregational Church
of Woodbury. Burial will be in New North Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be held at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North, on Sunday March 18th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.

Services: Funeral services will be held on Monday March 19th at 11: 00am at First Congregational Church of Woodbury. Burial will be in New North Cemetery in the spring.
