Albert B. Newell of Southbury, CT, formerly of Mahopac, NY died peacefully on Friday, February, 1, 2013 at home with his family. His wife Doris (Petrikat) Newell was by his side. He was born on March 8, 1940 in Tarrytown, NY to Richard & Ethel Newell. He graduated from Sleepy Hollow H.S. He worked for the New York Telephone Company for 41 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962. Along with his brothers, he was an avid fisherman. His family loved him dearly. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play. Besides his wife of 48 years he leaves behind his three daughters, Diane Binns and her husband, Ed of Mahopac, NY, Suzanne Neal Steinhilber and her husband, Paul of Warwick, Rhode Island and Karen Bevan and her husband, Jim of Jermyn, Pennsylvania. His grandchildren, Colleen, Brian, Jacob, Abigael, Cody and Riley will miss him dearly. He is survived by two brothers, Roger and Russell Newell and was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert Newell. He also has numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: The wake will be held at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home at 235 Main Street North in Southbury, CT on Sunday, February, 3rd from 2-6.
