Mr. Adrian F. Alzamora, 75, of Harwinton died Wednesday June 27th 2007 at the West Haven Veteran's Hospital. He was the widower of Barbara (Jackson) Alzamora.
Mr. Alzamora was born May 10, 1932 in Newark, NJ son of the late Armando and Cecilia (Burke) Alzamora. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy enlisting in May 1950 and serving aboard the USS Missouri during the Korean War until March 1954. He was an industrial painter for many years. The most important things in his life were his family, close friends and more importantly his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his son Jay Alzamora and his wife Dori of Woodbury, two daughters Joy Alzamora of Harwinton and Jill Simmons and her husband Scott of Morris, two brothers Neil Alzamora of New Jersey and Armand Alzamora of Tennessee, and three grandchildren Tyler Alzamora, Nicole Simmons and Samantha Simmons.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday July 5th at 10:30 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Main St. South, Woodbury. Burial will follow at the Connecticut State Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown.
