Woodbury-

Donna G. Elkinson-Miller, 71, passed away on Wednesday November 20, 2024 surrounded by family after a short battle with esophageal cancer.

Donna was born on March 3, 1953, at Stamford Hospital and was the daughter of the late Eugene J. Gostomski and the late Ann B. Gostomski. Donna graduated from Norwalk High School (1971) and from Southern Connecticut State University (1975) where she received a BS degree in English and Secondary Education. Donna was a Woodbury resident and a longtime member of The Woodbury Junior Women's Club.

She is survived by her loving yet mildly cantankerous husband Jeffrey Miller of Woodbury, bewitching daughter Alexandra Saldarriaga-Miller of Prague, Czech Republic, and her devotedly absent-minded dog, Gizmo.

She is also survived by her industrious sister, Jean (Gary) Anderson of Waxhaw, NC; fabulous nieces Jennifer (Stuart) Johnstone of Loganville, GA, Lindsay (Kevin) Powers of Waxhaw, NC, and Nicole (James) Bald of Brookfield, CT; adoring cousins David Zaumseil, Kristen Zaumseil, Robert (Jennifer) Slavinsky, Betty (Peter) Bernstein, Barry (Debbie) Gostomski and Michael (Lynn) Gostomski; Janice (John) Rogers, Frank Kupidlowski and Peter (Patricia) Kupidlowski.

Donna had an illustrious career as co-founder of Elkinson + Sloves, creating innumerable award-winning marketing and community-outreach campaigns. Notable accounts included: Hartford Whalers, Hartford Yard Goats, PGA TOUR; New England Blizzard,1996 Presidential Debate that deeded marketing materials to the Smithsonian Institution; early supporter of Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp; and as founding partner of CT Latino News. That said, Donna's proudest accomplishment is her daughter.

At Donna's request, she will be turned into fairy dust and sparkles, kept safely in a vessel from her favorite museum, The Museum of Modern Art. Her final resting place will be in the living room where she will schmooze with Ernest Hemingway, Anne Rice, and simultaneously reign as Queen of her casbah. Donna will visit her family from heaven to remind them to pick up every crumb off the floor, and to remember to say, "I love you".
