William T. Mischou, Jr., 86, died on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Waterbury Hospital. Bill was a longtime resident of Bethlehem and since 2014 a resident of Palm Beach, Florida. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marion B. (Satula) Mischou, his high school sweetheart whom he married in 1951.
After high school, Bill served in the US Air Force for four years stationed in Louisiana, Mississippi, Colorado and the United Kingdom. He then graduated from the University of Connecticut.
Bill retired in 1995 after a 36-year career at Uniroyal, where he held executive positions in the Chemical and Consumer Products Division and served as President of the USCO Distribution Services business.
Bill served his community as Chairman of the Region 14 School Board, Chairman of the Bethlehem Republican Town Committee, member of the Memorial Hall Committee, member of American Legion Post 146, and Little League Coach.
A loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Bill is survived by sons William III of Bethlehem and Greg of Saratoga (CA); a daughter, Linda Mischou Hamblin of Bethlehem; and three grandchildren, Drew Hamblin and Grace and Natalie Mischou.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 22nd at The Church of the Nativity, 48 East Street, Bethlehem, with calling hours from 10-11 Am at the church preceding the mass. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
