Selma G. Fleisher , 92 years old, of Heritage Village, died Friday, December 20, 2019, at home. She was the wife of the late Conrad G. Fleisher.
Mrs. Fleisher was born on July 26, 1927 in Waterbury, CT, daughter of the late Martin and Celia Greenblatt, and mother of the late Pamela Faith Fleisher and the late Jonathan Bernhardt Fleisher. She was a 1948 graduate of Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She attended Saint Margaret’s School, now known as the Chase Collegiate School, in Waterbury, CT. She took enormous pride in having been educated there and was a generous donor for some years. In addition to this, Selma was an active member of the Beth El Synagogue Sisterhood, a lifetime member of Hadassah, an active volunteer in the local hospitals, and very generous with the Waterbury Foundation and the Martin Greenblatt Foundation before that. Mrs. Fleisher and her late husband were known for their generosity and philanthropy.
