Welcome to the memorial page for

Sean A Moran

June 22, 1979 ~ August 9, 2017 (age 38) 38 Years Old

Sean Andrew Moran, 38, of Bethlehem died at home surrounded by his family on August 9th, 2017 after a long illness.  He leaves his parents, Jack and Barbara, his sister, Kate, his bother-in-law Daryl Connolly, his niece Clare and his lifelong best friend Brian Bernardi. Sean is survived by a festival of loving extended family and friends.

Sean will be fondly remembered for his infectious charm and wit.  He had a sharp mind with near total recall of any movie script.  In his early days, he brought his angelic voice to the role of Tiny Tim in the school Christmas play before retiring from the stage.  Many friends would be surprised to learn that he had served as an altar boy for the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.  He was an avid percussionist in the school band and on his home drum set and was a lifelong fan of heavy metal music.  Sean was on the Nonnewaug High School wrestling team.  He was a proud graduate of the Vocational Agriculture program at NHS and his love for animals poured over into his early work at Parmelee and Young’s Farms.  Sean was dedicated to his trade of auto mechanics.  He worked for TriTown Auto, Trans Tech, and Morans’ Garage before opening and sharing a business, S & J Automotive, with his father, Jack.  Later in his life, Sean was an active member of the Bethlehem Lions Club, where he was awarded Lion of the Year in 2014 and served as President from 2016-2017.

He loved getting up in the morning to put on his work clothes and boots and had a smile that would light up a room.  Despite many health struggles, he rarely complained.  Sean was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend and he always left an indelible mark of laughter and love in his wake.  His storytelling abilities were unparalleled and he had the most captivating and endearing charm.

The family would like to express their deepest thanks to Dr. Andrew Wells, Marcia Henley, and Dr. Beatriz Tendler as well as all of the medical staff that made up his “team”.
