It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sandra L. Deschino announce her sudden passing on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at the age of 63. Sandra will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Kenneth J. Deschino and his wife, Debbie, and her sister Beverly D. Carlone. She will also be forever remembered by her several aunts, cousins, nephews and friends. Sandra was predeceased by her parents, John J. Deschino and Marjorie Weed Deschino.
A native of Woodbury, Sandra graduated from Nonnewaug High School in 1974 and continued her education at Elmira College, graduating in 1978 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology. She entered the retail business working in the family owned clothing store, Deschino’s Inc. and later opened her own business, Heavenly Card & Gift Boutique. After several years, the shop closed and Sandra spent the rest of her career as a sales associate in the retail business. Sandra will be remembered by her co-workers and neighbors as “The Baker.” She loved to share her joy of baking to those around her and also adored time spent spoiling her precious dog, Molly.
In celebration of Sandra’s life, her family will greet those nearest and dearest on Friday, October 18 from 4-7pm at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School Street, Woodbury. A graveside service will take place Saturday, October 19 at 11am at New North Cemetery, Woodbury.
