Natalie Ann (Manville) Talarico, 90, of Oakville (formerly of Woodbury) died Saturday, June 2, 2018, at home with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Thomas J. Talarico, Sr.
Natalie was born November 2, 1927 in Waterbury, CT the daughter of the late Anna and Charles Manville. She attended school at Bullet Hill School (a one room school house for all grades) in Southbury and in Woodbury.
Natalie was a caregiver her entire life. She worked at Southbury Training School for 25 years and at River Glen Continuing Care for 28 years, retiring at the age of 80 years old. Her next job was taking care of her husband for 10 years through his illness. She cared for every person as if it were one of her family members.
Natalie is survived by her daughters, Diana Harter (David) and Terri Downey (Matthew), and her son, Thomas Talarico Jr. (Joanne). She was the proud grandmother of her grandchildren, Michele (Matt), Lauren (Jean-Guy), T.J. (Megan), Michael (Diana), Jessica (Michael), Kevin (Sara), and Megan, Stephen (May), David (Elaine), Gary, Krista, Michael (Ashlee) and Nick. She also leaves 15 great grandchildren and a great-great grandson. Her family was her greatest joy and the most important thing in her life.
She was predeceased by her brothers Richard and Charles Floyd. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many close friends.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Maryann and Kelly and all the friends and family that called and visited. She loved having visitors – her door was always open. The family appreciates the assistance from the staff of VITAS for her care.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m. with a service at 6:30 p.m. at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St. Woodbury. Burial will be at the family’s convenience.
