Lucille Terrell

Woodbury, Lucille J. (Grisgraber) Terrell, 89, formerly of Southbury, died on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s  with her family by her side. She was the widow of the late Donald W. Terrell.
 
Lucille was born on January 3, 1929 in Southbury, Ct., the daughter of the late George and Lucy (Stillson) Grisgraber of Southbury. She was educated in the Southbury school system. She attended Post Junior College. Mrs. Terrell worked for many years at the Curtis House in Woodbury, CT., where she was a waitress. Other places of employment include Chase Brass in Waterbury, Day Kimble Hospital of Putnam, and Briarwood Restaurant in Woodbury. She was a Cub Scout den mother and held a position of Electa in the Eastern Star of Woodbury.
 
Mrs. Terrell was a member of the First Congregational Church of Woodbury.
 
She leave behind three sons Donald W. Terrell Jr., and his wife Kathy of Oakville, Brian P. Terrell of New Milford, and Gary E. Terrell and his wife Elizabeth of Barrington, RI.,three daughters Sandra L. Glowa and her husband George of Southington, Elaine S. Knudsen of Floyd, Va., and Shirley J. Robinson and her husband Kevin of Woodbury. She is also survived by one sister Arlene Hatfield of Southbury, 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
 
The family would like to thank the caregivers for the hours of care they gave to Lucille. A special thanks to her former caregivers and friend Shirley Halleur, Cathy, Latasha, Dalmicia, June and the care coordinator Sonia. They would also like to thank the staff of St. Mary’s Hospital and Vitas for their care.
 
Calling hours are Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St. Woodbury, Ct. There will be a Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Old North Cemetery, Washington Ave., Woodbury.
