Lee Anne D'Ambrose Obituary

Ms. Lee Anne D’Ambrose, 61, of Middlebury passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, surrounded by her loved ones. Lee Anne was born at Waterbury Hospital, June 29th, 1957, the eldest daughter of the late Louis and Judith (Allnutt) D’Ambrose.

Lee Anne was a graduate of Southbury High School in Southbury, Connecticut. She began a life-long career in health care at Riverglen in Southbury, providing loving care to her patients and families. She shared her knowledge of nursing and her boundless compassion as a specialist in the health insurance field until the time of her passing.

Lee Anne was many things to many people. Always one for a celebration, she never missed a chance to celebrate a single birth, wedding, birthday, or major life event with her family and friends. Lee Anne loved Maine, especially Wells Beach, traveling there at every opportunity. From her professional cake decorating skills to her extraordinarily detailed Halloween costumes, she never failed to demonstrate her love and support for those closest to her. She always found ways to ensure that every event was properly appointed and appropriately themed. Her steadfast presence and constant generosity will be deeply missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sisters Barbara Henson and Jane Connery, her brother in law, Eric Connery, her two nephews, Christopher S. Henson Jr. and Justin B. Connery of Middlebury, and her cousin Wendy Beardsley and her husband Bob of Woodbury. In addition, she leaves her lifelong friend Ellen Aronheim, and her extended family Lindsay Aronheim, Kate and Chris Avcollie, and her two “muffins,” Emma and Grace Avcollie.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Danielle Antin-Ozerkis and the medical staff of the 9th and 10th floor North Pavilion at Yale New Haven Hospital.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Middlebury Congregational Church 1242 Whittemore Rd. Middlebury, CT.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
