Jane M. Pierwola

Jane M. Pierwola of Newtown, died October 10, 2017 at Danbury Hospital after a long illness. She was born July 24, 1945 in Bridgeport CT. Daughter of the late Philip J. Koerner and Marjorie Quinn Koerner.

She loved travel and spent many years working in the travel industry. She loved to travel the world. Jane worked for the City of Danbury, in the tax department. Most recently she worked for Brighton Collectables in the Danbury Fair mall until her retirement. Jane loved to cook, bake, read, go shopping and give to others.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Pierwola of Newtown, Kevin Pierwola and his wife Tisha of Woodbury, Christopher Pierwola of Plymouth, and her brother Philip Koerner and his wife Ginny of Colorodo. Among all of her survivors her most prized possessions were her grandchildren, Eric and Leigha Pierwola and her fury  child Morgan.  Calling hours will be Saturday October 14, 2017 from 9 – 11 am at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St, Woodbury. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday October 14, 2017 at 11:30 am at St Teresa of Avila Church, 146 Main St. South, Woodbury. Burial will follow at New North Cemetery, Washington Ave. Woodbury. Memorial contributions can be made in Jane’s memory to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd. Newington, Ct. 06111.
