It would be an understatement to say that Irina Pabst and I were just friends. We were kindred spirits. She was 100-plus years upon her passing over; still, she died much too soon. We, her survivors, friends and family, shall miss her sorely--we shall miss her smile, her laughter, her jokes, her sympathy for the less fortunate, and for the dejected, and her empathy for the hopeful, and her identification with the best of humanity.

Irina had a great love for friends and family---which we shall forever remember and cherish. Our memories of Irina Pabst's inner and outer beauty will remain perfect, and we shall long be guided by her vast wisdom, by her good will towards all people, and by her love of God--which was a blessing to behold and share.

Irina lived a good and purposeful not just a long life, happily, and always with courage, never fear. Truly, Irina Pabst's life of adventure was the epitome of Abraham Lincoln's observation, "In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years."

Before her passing over, Irina Pabst knew she would be with God; and at the end of her life journey, we are assured, Irina has met God in the face. May her faith strengthen us in continuing our own journey.

In loving memory, we salute Irina Pabst, our friend and our blessing from God.

I loved Mrs. Pabst. She rented us the back barn on her property in Westport. I saw her regularly for several years and we built a great friendship. I loved hearing the stories of her family history. She was a driven woman and loved life. We exchanged birthday cards up until a couple of years ago when she left NY. My condolences goes out to the family. She will be missed.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. What seems to be a long life is never long enough where our loved ones are concerned. Our Heavenly Father Jehovah feels the same way. That is why He has promised to swallow up death forever and soon end all our suffering. (Rev. 21:3-5; Isa. 25:8) May His promises be a soothing balm for your grieving hearts.
