Ellen J. Treacy

Ellen J. Treacy of Middlebury, CT, passed away on April 18, 2019 at Danbury Hospital at the age of 70.  Mother of Elizabeth Davis (Joe), and cherished grandmother of Alexandra (Ali) Treacy; fond sister of James Treacy (Diane), aunt to Emily Treacy; dear friend of Joshua Zuraitis and life-long friend to many more.  Ellen was born in Flushing, NY, to Charles Treacy and Blanche (nee Backora) in 1948, Ellen graduated from Newtown High School in Queens, New York. She worked for Union Carbide through its transition into what became Praxair, where she was fortunate to spend the entirety of her career. Ellen is a recent graduate of Post University in Waterbury, CT. 

Much of her free time was spent volunteering as the ward employment specialist, and visiting teacher for her church, reading, caring for her pets, and spending precious time with her loving family and friends.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1021 Roxbury Road, Southbury, CT.  Arrangements entrusted to Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Ellen Treacy’s honor to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society at:      https://secure.nationalmssociety.org/site/Donation2?df_id=55995&55995.donation=form1 .
