Elizabeth Esposito Obituary

Elizabeth Susan Hoefer passed away suddenly Wednesday May 9, 2018 at St Mary’s Hospital, Waterbury CT.  Elizabeth was the beloved daughter of Carrol Hamrick Hoefer and Edward G. Hoefer of Southbury CT.  Elizabeth graduated from Pomperaug High school in Southbury CT in 1987, and earned a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Western CT State University in 1998.  Elizabeth was passionate in her desire to help others at all times and in all things, and this was evident in both her personal and professional life.  She was a Customer Service Representative at Powers Fasteners in Brewster NY, a Pre-School Teacher at Apple Blossoms in Ridgefield CT, and a Relocation Specialist at several companies including Cendant Mobility in Danbury CT.  Elizabeth was active in her community, serving as a Sunday School Teacher at United Methodist Church in Bethel CT, and as often as she was able, volunteered her time to help others in need.  Ever involved with her children’s lives, Elizabeth served as a troop leader for both her son’s Boy Scout troop and her daughter’s Girl Scout troop.  Selfless to a fault, Elizabeth gave to anyone in need throughout her life.  We will miss her undying sense of humor, even in the toughest of times, her ability to relate to you and make you calm, she was a walking angel.  Her ability to heal is a loss for all who knew her and were touched by her grace.  Our family lost a light, a beacon, a truly dear confidant.  We will forever hold her spirit active.  Do not cry because she is gone, smile because she was here.  Elizabeth, beloved of her family, is survived by her parents Carrol Hamrick Hoefer and Edward G. Hoefer, brothers Erik Hoefer and Jason Hoefer as well as their wives and 4 nieces, her sons Nicholas Esposito and Ryan Esposito, and preceded in Heaven by her daughter Sarah Rae Esposito.  In memory of Elizabeth, practice kindness to others, help others whenever you are able, and love without condition.
