Welcome to the memorial page for

Dorothy "Pat" Loretta (Norris) Bove

September 14, 1934 ~ November 15, 2017 (age 83) 83 Years Old

Dorothy “Pat” Bove, 83, of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017, after a brief illness surrounded by her family.  She was predeceased by her husband of only four years, Vincent Anthony Bove, who died in 1960.  Though they were married only a few years, she said that she didn’t remarry because she could never replace him.

Born Dorothy Loretta Norris in Brooklyn, NY, on September 14, 1934, the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Finley) Norris.  She moved to Bethlehem in 1961 to raise her three children and to be closer to her sisters, Mary “Buddy” Eriksen and Kitty Clifford.  Even though she lived in CT most of her life, she was a Brooklyn girl at heart and was an avid fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers and later the NY Mets.  A day was not complete without reading the NY Post and the Daily News to keep up with the New York news.

Pat was the youngest and the last surviving sibling of 14 children.  Pat is survived by her children Lauren and her fiancé, Bob Salerno of Waterbury, Vincent and his wife Meghan of Bethlehem, and James and his wife Georgia of Woodbury.  She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Timothy and Gregory, Katherine and Matthew, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Pat retired as a dental assistant from the UConn Dental School and Pediatric Dental Associates of Southbury.  When her children were young, Pat was active in Bethlehem, volunteering for Girl Scouts, coaching girls’ softball and was a founding member of the Bethlehem Recreation Committee.

Calling hours will be Sunday November 19th  from 1pm-4pm at Munson Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St. Woodbury, CT.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband on Long Island at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
