Domenic T. Coviello, 89, passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital Vitas unit on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Domenic was born in Waterbury, CT to James and Gertrude Coviello on July 15, 1930. He is the loving husband of Esther (Sullivan) Coviello for their 69 years of marriage. Domenic leaves behind his five children Frances Christino, Suzanne Lanzone, Nancy Coviello, James Coviello and William (Phyllis) Coviello. He is the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Katherine Mannello. Domenic is pre-deceased by his brother Vito Coviello and his sister Beatrice Adamson.
Domenic attended Crosby High School in Waterbury, and went on to New Haven University. He was the founder, president and owner of “Venus Consolidated Industries” in Wolcott, CT. He was president and owner of DTEC manufacturing company in Watertown, CT., and worked with two of his sons, James and William. He also was an active member of his community, serving as past president of the Waterbury Club, and an active member of the Country Club of Waterbury for 50 years, he was the past president of the Wolcott Lions Club, he was also on the Wolcott Board of Education, and a member of the Connecticut Manufacturing Organization.
Domenic was a very hard worker who was dedicated and loved his family time. He enjoyed many vacations with them. When not with his family he enjoyed golfing with his friends. Domenic’s mission was to help as many people as he touched and will be remembered as an extremely successful business leader in the area.
