Christopher A. Kinzig Sr.

Christopher Allen Kinzig Sr., 66, of Danbury, CT. passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at his home.  He was born August 30, 1952 to Francis F. Kinzig and Myra S. Kinzig in Stamford, CT.

Upon graduating high school, he worked in banking, marrying Barbara Riley in 1978.   They then settled in New Fairfield, CT. and raised two sons, Christopher A. Kinzig, Jr. and Brian P. Kinzig.

Chris spent his career at the U. S. Postal Service as a beloved mail carrier to those on his route, retiring after 34 years of service.   He later moved to Danbury, CT. in 2010 and remarried on July 5, 2012 to Royland C. Langridge. 

His hobbies and interests included coin collecting, vintage movies, gardening and history.  In retirement he frequented his favorite Starbucks in Danbury CT, trips to Provincetown MA., and enjoyed the company of many friends and family.

Chris is survived by his spouse Royland C. Langridge of Danbury CT., his sons Christopher A. Kinzig, Jr. and daughter in law Abralyne P. Kinzig of Sandy Hook, CT.  Brian P. Kinzig and daughter in law Stefania Kinzig of Naugatuck, CT.  Stepsons Bradford and Douglas Langridge along with five grandchildren; Christopher A. Kinzig III, Emma Kinzig, Aria Kinzig, Sabrina Bogues-Brennan and Jaxson Langridge. He was predeceased by his brother Jeffrey Kinzig of Stamford, CT.
