Barbara W. Wargo

Barbara W. Wargo, 70, of Dublin Hill Road passed away with her family at her side Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Waterbury Hospital.  Barbara was born September 11, 1947 in Derby, CT daughter of Elizabeth (Shattuck) Woodworth of Southbury and the late Donald Woodworth. Barbara was a long-time resident of Southbury where she resided with her husband of 51 years, William Wargo, Jr. Besides her husband and mother she is survived by her beloved son Brian and his wife Christine, her brothers & sisters:  Noreen Woodin and husband Al, Joanie Milton, Jack Woodworth and wife Andi, Donald Woodworth and wife Donna, Betsy Jane and husband Howie, several nieces and nephews. Barbara had worked at C.L. Adams, Hines Brothers and the Southbury Lumber Yard. She enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.  Some of her happiest times were spent with her husband in Jamaica where they vacationed annually.  Her cat Benji, who was always at her side, brought much joy to her as well. Barbara’s family would like to extend special thanks to everyone who cared for her at the Waterbury Gardens and at the Waterbury Hospital ICU unit.
