Last evening reading Vices Newspaper 15 February 2017 obituaries, I saw the photo of Arthur W. Wallander, Jr., and was shocked to learn he had passed 05 February 2017. I last spoke with him during the 26 January 2017 luncheon at the Bridgewater Senior Center.
I met Arthur several years ago, at the Roxbury-Bridgewater Garden Club's luncheon/flower show at the Newtown Country Club.
since our first meeting we often shared a table a the Bridgewater Senior Center monthly luncheons. During an earlier luncheon, we exchanged telephone numbers and he would come to my home in March for lunch. I would also invite his niece who lives in Bridgewater to join us.
Arthur's many friends will recall memories of this special man who entered into their lives. I am one of the many.
I am indeed sad and sorry, I did not earlier know of his passing.
He is now resting in the Palm of God's Hand.
Friend,
Shirley J. Siana

I shall miss Arthur. He was smart, wise, funny and perceptive. This small town girl will never forget his walking tour of mid-town Manhattan and the scary subway ride. Rest in peace, good friend.
