Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

BETHLEHEM -  Mrs. Theresa Kacerguis, 92, of Bethlehem, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the widow of Vincent Kacerguis Sr.  Theresa was born in Waterbury, daughter of the late Joseph and Ursula (Kerute) Kailukaitis. She was the youngest daughter of eight children, growing up in the Lithuanian community near St. Joseph’s Church.  Theresa was an active member of the Knights of Lithuania and the 48 Club of Waterbury.  She enjoyed the weekend polka dances where she met her husband, Vincent, with a flower in her hair.

Theresa married Vincent Kacerguis Sr. on April 26, 1947 and celebrated 56 years of marriage at the time of his transition in 2003.  They raised their family in Bethlehem, CT while she was active in the manufacturing industry and building the family business, Kacerguis Farms.  Theresa was known for her loving way and sense of humor.  She enjoyed attending church at The Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem and spending time with her family.  She was a talented homemaker, cook, baker and hostess of family and holiday Christmas Eve dinners.  Her creative talents were expressed in her ceramics and sewing as she shared and gifted to her family and friends.  She loved listening to music, dancing, playing cards, bowling on the St. Joseph’s Church league, archery tournaments, watching movies and TV, especially Wheel of Fortune with her grandkids and weekly Saturday visits to the Beauty Parlor.

She is survived by her four children and their spouses; James and Polly Kacerguis of Bethlehem, Matt and Angela Kacerguis of Bethlehem, Patricia Kacerguis and John Suter of Denver, CO, and Vinny Kacerguis Jr. and Lissa Finelli of Bethlehem.
