William Gheduzzi Obituary

Woodbury- William Gheduzzi, 68, formerly of Irvington, NY passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on April 22, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, NY to his late parents Reynold and Alvera (Attardi) Gheduzzi, he was a dutiful son, a loyal husband, a devoted father, a loving grandfather, a great brother and a dear friend to those lives he impacted. Known as "Bill" to all that knew him, he was a beautiful person inside and out to everyone. His kindness and sincerity showed greatly and was very welcoming to those he met during his life. Anytime you took a road trip with him, he was fun loving and easy to talk to. If you put on any classic rock songs on the radio, you saw him enjoy them while on the open road. The majority of his life was spent as an Irvington, New York resident. For over 40 years, he built custom homes in the New York City area communities of Westchester County. There was not a single day that went by where he did not feel proud of his workmanship. He also had a personal passion for aviation. Not only did he receive the training to become a pilot, he was an inspiration for many of his students for over two decades as a certified flight instructor at Westair School of Aviation. Then in recent years, he enjoyed flying remote controlled airplanes with fellow members of the Westchester Radio Aero Modelers (WRAM) club. Even though it was for less than a full year, William enjoyed his retirement life after a move to Woodbury in 2017. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife Barbara (Massof) of 46 years, his children Paul, Christina and Jennifer, his son-in-law Yuval, his grandchildren Lily and Cora and his siblings Stephen, Janet, Barbara and Mark. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 28th from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Rose of Lima on 46 Church Hill Road in Newtown, CT. It will be followed by a gathering hour for friends and family that afternoon from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School Street, Woodbury.
