Stephen Pelletier

Stephen Romeo Pelletier, 65, of Southbury, CT, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.

Steve was born in Hartford, CT, on October 15, 1951.  He graduated from East Windsor High School and worked for many years at J.R. Montgomery Company in Windsor Locks.  At the time of his death he was Vice President of Ronan Corporation.

Steve is survived by his loving partner, Maggie Meriwether; his stepson Rex Lyver, his wife Jessica and their three children, Jackson, Brenna, and Emily; his sisters Donna Costello and Lois Pelletier; his brother, Brian Pelletier; and his nieces and nephews.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Romeo and Mary Pelletier; and his sister, Pamela Pelletier.

Steve was known to be a reserved and dignified man who had a love of Alfa Romeos, music, and nature.  He was extremely creative and would often be found working in his basement shop until three or four in the morning.  There was nothing he couldn't build or fix, and he was meticulous about his work.  If he hung something on the wall, he often joked the wall would have to fall down before the item would fall off the wall.  He enjoyed the outdoors where he gardened and built stone walls, ponds, and waterfalls.  He enjoyed golf and cycling, once participating in a cycling trip across the country in 2005.  His family nickname was Sunny, because he truly found the positive in any situation.  He will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Sunday, from 11AM to 1PM, at the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main Street N., Southbury, CT. 

Memorial Donations can be made to the Regional Hospice of Danbury, CT, or to the Connecticut Humane Society.
