EBERT
NEWTOWN – Ingeborg “Inge” Ebert, 88, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Masonicare in Newtown CT. She was the widow of Martin Ebert.
Inge was born on August 11, 1929 in Bamberg, Germany to the late Felix and Elisabeth Doesch. She attended business school and worked in her parents’ grocery store with café. In 1960 she immigrated to the United States and lived with her family in Carmel, NY where she worked in the school cafeteria service. After Martin’s retirement in 1999 they moved to Spring Hill, FL. They enjoyed traveling and dancing and were married over 50 years.
Inge took great pride in her home and was an avid gardener and received a “Garden of the Month” award from the Spring Hill Garden Club. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends, loved to shop and also became a bird enthusiast.
She leaves her daughters Angelika Tonnessen and husband Al of Southbury, CT and Petra Hansen of Holmes, NY; her grandchildren Andrea Cordani and her husband, Mike, Alex Tonnessen, Brynn Holic and her husband, Frank, and Erik Hansen and his wife, Casie; and her great-grandchildren Kaitlyn and Lauren.
Most of all Inge loved her family and especially enjoyed spoiling the great-grandchildren. When she moved to Connecticut in 2016 she was able to participate more in family celebrations.
The family would like to thank the staff at Masonicare Lockwood Lodge for their excellent care.
Funeral will be private. Arrangements were by Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home.
