Ethel L Soss

Ethel L. Soss passed away peacefully in the company of her sons and daughters in-law on April 8 at Shady Knoll in Seymour CT. Ethel was born to the late David Altes and Celia (Schiffman) Altes on October 4, 1934 in New York City.

Ethel's most precious thing was to spend time with her five grandchildren, Rachael, Danielle, Bill, Sarah and Emily. She enjoyed to knit, crochet, read, garden and play mahjong in her free time. She was a very social lady and was a member of The Red Hatters and part of the Advisory Board representing fellow residents at the Hearth in Southbury. She was considered the Matriarch of the family and leaves behind two sons, Mitchell Soss and his fiancé Kathy Barte and Jeffrey Soss and his wife Marni. Ethel is survived by her sister Sondra (Altes) Aaron and her husband Dr. Munroe Aaron. She will also miss her grand fur babies.

Services for Ethel will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 5-7 PM at the Munson Lovetere Funeral Home in Southbury, CT at 235 Main Street North. Interment will take place on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Sharon Gardens in Valhalla NY at 10:30 AM.
